THE ESPNEWS STAFF WEB SITE SAMPLE

Here is a sample of the Intranet site I designed for the members of the ESPNews network staff. During my time as a member of the ESPNews crew, web site staff had a total of three people keeping the various parts of the site up-to-date. In my absence, the rest of the crew continues to update the site.

The site keeps the staff informed of operating procedures, new hires, the employee of the month and company events. Other information contained on the site includes a tour of the operation for new employees and those from other departments, department phone listings, blank forms, important documents and operations and equipment manuals. This site even has its own help section, which includes a computer glossary of terms.

The copyright watermarks are not on the actual web site. Also, last names of other staff members listed on the page have been blurred to protect the privacy of those employees. The actual site is only accessible through the internal company network, so the sample is only a graphic snapshot of the main page. Also, the actual site does contain some private company information on other pages not meant to be seen by competitors. The rest of the site follows the same design structure as the main page.

On the working site, the silver buttons turn red with white lettering when hovered over. The red buttons turn dark gray with the same white lettering. The text links in the white portions of the site are red, while those in the red portions are white.
